What board do you use for header cards?

300–400 gsm white card, or card laminated to flute where the card has to hold a product without bending. The weight is decided by what hangs from the card, not by what looks nice.

Can you punch a euro slot or peg hole?

Yes. The slot or hole is part of the die, so it has to be in the drawing before we cut. Tell us the position in millimetres if your dieline does not show it.

What is the minimum order?

5,000 pieces per design. Header cards are cheap per piece at volume and expensive to set up, so small runs do not work out.

A header card is a structural part, not a label

It carries the product's weight on a peg, holds the print that sells it, and has to survive being handled in a shop. Get the board weight wrong and the card folds over on the peg within a week — that is a reprint, not a design tweak.

Board	300–400 gsm white card. Card laminated to E-flute where the product is heavy or the card is long.
Printing	Offset CMYK, one or two sides. Spot colours available.
Shape	Any closed die line. Rounded corners, shaped tops, stepped outlines.
Hanging	Euro slot, round peg hole, or a reinforced eyelet. Slot and hole are cut in the die; eyelets and string are bought-in and quoted separately.
Finishing	Gloss or matte lamination, spot UV, foil stamping, embossing.
Minimum	5,000 pieces per design.

Three things that go wrong with header cards

1. Too thin for the weight on the peg. A 200 gsm card holding a 400 g product sags. The fix is board weight or a laminated flute, not a thicker looking design.

2. The slot is too close to the top edge. Under 8 mm of card above the slot and it tears out at the till. Move the slot down or add an eyelet.

3. Full-coverage ink on light board. Solid dark print on 300 gsm curls after die-cutting. Lamination holds it flat; heavier board helps.
